People are hooked by Competence – and believe its Confidence.
They can see a Candidate has done it, seen it and built the skills and experience necessary to do the job.
That’s not necessarily Confidence when it’s applied independently.
So, we hire someone with greater Competence, then we realize they are overly reliant on the Manager.
That’s a lack of Confidence.
